Performance Evidence
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to complete the tasks outlined in the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit, including evidence of the ability to:
apply operational maintenance skills on at least two occasions, including:identifying components of mechanical systems and electrical circuitryidentifying, diagnosing, responding, rectifying and reporting faults in systems, including:mechanical systemselectrical systemsidentifying and using fastenerscompleting housekeeping dutiesdocumenting and communicating environmental issuesidentifying and complying with site isolation proceduresidentifying and responding to manufacturer and workplace technical informationidentifying operational safety requirementsmatching tools with job requirementsinspecting and preparing tools for use.During the above, the candidate must: locate and apply relevant documentation, policies and procedures and confirm that the work activity is compliantimplement the requirements, procedures and techniques for applying operational maintenance skillswork effectively with others to apply operational maintenance skills in a way that meets all required outcomescommunicate clearly and concisely with others to receive and clarify work instructions and to determine coordination requirements prior to commencing and during work activities.
